Campanula Patula

Photos are made without a camera. Sunlight draws plants placed on photo paper with picturesque strokes. Many time levels: the flowering of the plant and already a hint of its wilting is in the same photo.

When I made these photos, I remembered my school time when we have to collect plants in our summer holidays. We pressed and identified them. And in the autumn we examined them under Latin names. It was an experience for a child growing up in the city to find so many ‘new’ plants. The same joy of new discovery I now experienced as I scanned the exposed papers. The end result was always a surprise.

Photos of flora were a part of a group exhibition ‘Cool Zone’.
